ASTREA

ASTREA softeners contain ion-exchange cationic resins that selectively retain calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for scale formation) while releasing sodium ions into the water.
A special mixing valve allows adjustment of the outlet water hardness. Once the exchange capacity is exhausted, the resins are regenerated using sodium chloride (salt).

ASTREA softeners are fully automatic and independently manage all operating phases. They are equipped with a full-color LCD digital display with touchscreen buttons and a simple, intuitive interface. Regeneration is managed by volume/time, proportionally to the actual resin usage (variable regeneration level).

ASTREA softeners stand out from other softeners on the market thanks to several key features:

Vacation mode
Vacation mode is activated on the first day when the total water flow is less than 18 liters or the instantaneous flow is below 6 l/min. On the fifth day from this occurrence, the softener performs a full regeneration of the resins. Thereafter, the softener will perform only backwash and fast rinse cycles every four days. Vacation mode is deactivated if the total flow is equal to or greater than 18 liters, or if the instantaneous flow is equal to or greater than 6 l/min.

Proportional Regeneration Level
ASTREA can regenerate resins at various levels, automatically and intelligently set by the electronic system based on actual consumption. In this way, the softener automatically adjusts to the user’s specific needs, using only the amount of salt and water that is strictly necessary.

Salt Depletion Sensor
The display alerts the user when the salt level is low and needs to be refilled.
